You
can search for information either in a specific folder (experiences, bibliography,
etc.) or simultaneously in all folders.
The Database's
Different Files
The "Experiences
and Practices" records. These records are the heart of the information
system. They are structured to allow dissemination of the results of field
experiences and analysis of their implementation, constraints, and difficulties
encountered.
The "Organisations" and "Resource Persons"
records identify the various stakeholders (donors, experts, producers,
trainers, etc.),
The "Equipment and Technologies" records focus on tools
and how to implement them, and techniques and equipment available locally.
The "Multimedia Documents" records contain images, photographs,
equipment blueprints, etc.
The "Bibliography" records present selected reference
documents and annotate their uses and target publics.
Simple, Advanced, and All Filess Searches
Simple searches: simple searches are
carried out on a limited and pre-determined number of search fields. Only
one search value can be indicated per section. When more than one search
sections are filled in, the search operator "AND" is activated
between the different values sought.
Advanced Search: The advanced search uses all the available search
options: choice of fields to search and possibility to combine the search
operators "AND", "OR", and "BUT NOT".
All files searches allow you to run a search on all 6 folders or
on a sub-selection of 2, 3, 4, or 5 folders. Your search possibilities
are restricted to the elements shared by all folders: the thematic reference
list and the glossaries (keywords and geographic glossaries).
Navigation Bar
The navigation bar lets you know which folder you are in at all times
and allows you to navigate easily from one record to another and from
one search mode to another without returning to the home page. The active
folder and/or search mode are highlighted.
