About the Organisation
Since 1989 the Red River Programme (RRP) has been in operation under a cooperation agreement between Vietnam Agricultural Science Institute (VASI) and a French NGO, the Research and Technological Exchange Group (GRET).
During this period the programme has monitored changes, brought about by Doi Moi, in the agricultural system of 8 districts representative of the various agro-ecological context of the Red River Basin. It has also supported VASI, especially its Farming System Department, in strengthening its capability to conduct on-site farming system research. In addition the Programme has aimed at closely associating on-site research, training and experimental development activities
